1 deck of cards
Deal seven cards to each player and place the remaining cards on the table face down. Turn the top card face up and that color or suit becomes Trump. Each player looks at his/her cards and silently determines how many tricks they believe they will/can take. When each player is ready they place their fist on the table in front of them. When everyone is ready the dealer leads the players in four successive taps/pounds on the table. On the fourth each player simultaneously puts out the number of fingers (representing tricks) they believe they will take. NO half fingers and NO changing your prediction. Your score is based on how well you match your prediction, no more or no less. You must reach your prediction exactly to score points. The player to the left of the dealer leads with any card they wish. As with MOST card games everyone MUST follow suit if they can, if not they can play whatever card they wish. The highest card of the suit led in each trick wins, unless a Trump is played. In that case the highest Trump will take the trick. Remember you can't play Trump unless you cannot follow suit with the first card played. If you make your bid you receive one point and then an extra point for every trick you take. So if you bid zero and take zero you get one point. Bid 1 and take 1 you get two points. Bid two and take two get three points. BUT if you miss you receive negative. Bid zero and take one then you get minus one points. Bid two and take one you get minus one point. Bid two and take four you receive minus two points. Got it. So, first hand deal seven, then six, five, four, three, two, one and then our favorite is deal one card face down, you can't look at it but you place the card on your forehead so everyone else can see it. Then play just the same. If you have time go back up to seven cards. Whoever has the most points at the end wins.
